How I help treat Dupuytren’s contracture?
Prior to recommending a treatment I will confirm the diagnosis through an in depth review of your story, symptoms and examination during our initial consultation.
I will then decide if tests are required to aid the diagnosis such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans and blood tests. I will then formulate a treatment plan with yourself according to the diagnosis and your views. This often involves hand therapy and other simple treatment options before surgery is considered.
